The travelogue is infinite, as the metaphor is. Not only the language but the whole intellectual life rests on a set of transpositions, which can be described as a metaphor – as pioneered, Michel Leiris. The article explores this virtuality in authors like Michaux, Borges, Clarice Lispector.
