Between the 14th and 15th centuries, the secular and ecclesiastical authorities of Castile and Portugal dedicated themselves to establishing laws and rules to stimulate the production of bread, highlighting its material and symbolic importance. From this documentary set, composed mainly of chapters on cuts, ordinances, chronicles and treaties, that is writings that guided and gave meaning to the practices of men, we will question the values associated with the consumption and cultivation of bread in both Iberian kingdoms in order to examine the construction of a common moral.Downloads
