Since 1990, with the end of the Sandinista Revolution, in Nicaragua have been elaborated different public memories of that process. The revolution’s hegemonic memory within sandinismo has been forged by the FSLN. This collective memory defines the personal narratives of many Sandinistas, but not all of its content. The article describes how a group of Sandinista peasants, in the old agrarian frontier of the country, remembers the revolutionary past. The purpose is to show how they participate in the elaboration and reproduction of that political feat’s oral archive by choosing what and how to remember of that process, depending on the situation and time. The article concludes by analyzing the ties that link the population to that political project and to the party that represents it.Downloads
