La novela Travesuras de la niña mala de Mario Vargas Llosa puede interpretarse como una expresión artística de la relación conflictiva del autor con su país, Perú. Sin embargo, el papel de una enigmática mujer fatal orienta el análisis hacia una dirección diferente. Al leer el texto de Vargas Llosa en comparación con los clásicos del canon occidental, pretendo reevaluar el juicio negativo predominante sobre la Niña Mala. Al reunir diferentes hilos textuales, encontramos evidencia suficiente para reivindicar su existencia. Es ahí donde sus decisiones cuestionables ocultan algo envidiable: la magnitud que solo poseen quienes vencen su destino.
