In this paper I made a historicization of the processes that allow us to understand the regimes of State terrorism in the American continent. Each of the sections at this work contains an analysis of the most structural conditions and counterrevolutionary tendencies of the second half of the 20th century. The adoption of terrorist practices by part of the States not only meant a change in the juridical nature of the same, it’s not an only question of technical repressive, is a specific political phenomenon, an extreme modality of capitalist State.
