In Argentina, as well as in other American countries that received intensive transoceanic migration flows during the XIX and XX century, a popularization process of the genealogy and a rediscovery of the ancestors have taken place among the post-migration generations. This phenomenon will be analyzed through the concept of “intimacy”, showing how genealogists use the Internet and enter the Cyberspace, producing extended forms of intimacy, which include the ancestors and their places of provenience, family members, but also other Internet surfer genealogists.
