This article presents unpublished biographical details about the translator, journalist and writer from Galicia, María Luz Morales (1890-1980), and takes stock of her prolific trajectory as translator. Furthermore, new lines of inquiry aimed to provide a thorough portrait of the first woman in Spain to head a major newspaper will be noted.
