Along history, Galician language has passed through golden and dark ages. Its speakers have been victims of a marginalization that took them to a deep situation of diglossia. Its survival is threatened, even getting to the situation of non-transmission of the language within the family. Since the instauration of democracy, the passing of the Statute of Autonomy, the Linguistic Normalization Law and the General Plan for the Normalization of Galician Language, the language has official recognition, but it is still far from being in a position of full social and institutional normalization.Downloads
