Abstract

This article examines the complexity of female empowerment focusing on the reappropiation of the term perra/bitch in “Perra brava” by Orfa Alarcón and “Perras de reserva” by Dahlia de la Cerda. The analysis highlights the redefinition of the term, historically loaded witffh offensive connotations, as a tool of resistance against the patriarchal and femicide system. In addition, this work explores the concepts of bildung and sicaresca that articulates the selected works by these authors.
