José Lezama Lima y el neo-barroco americano

This work revises some moments in José Lezama Lima´s work, his neo-baroque and poetic system. Considering the transformation between the topics of insularity and hybridism, the paper examine some relevant aspects concerning style as “splendor formae” in the construction of traditions and in the poetry logos. In particular it emphasizes the metaphor’s role and some languages issues around “reminiscent time”. Keywords: Latin American literature, culture- baroque, neo- baroque, Lezama Lima. Este trabajo revisa varios momentos en la obra de José Lezama Lima. En primer lugar hace referencia a lecturas diferentes del neo-barroco lezamiano y luego examina el sistema poético del autor cubano. Considerando la transformación que tiene lugar entre los tópicos de la insularidad y la hibridez se detiene en varios aspectos relevantes relativos al “estilo” como “splendor formae” en la construcción de tradiciones y del “logos poético”. En particular enfatiza el rol del discurso metafórico y algunos usos del lenguaje en torno del “tiempo reminiscente”.
