We will see that, in this short story, there are explicit and too limited references to the information contained in the official medical bulletins announcements that were published in all major media outlets in the country. Such bulletins were made public only after a month of the accident date, distorting many data of that historical event. Finally, we will see that, in the short story, the representations of Salazar's historic fall still reflect many of these censored journalistic data, which reveals a still timid documentary investigation by Saramago.
