"He is the voice of the city," said Antonio Candido about Adoniran Barbosa. Through a particular forms of expression, the composer in his songs capture the emotional memories of the city of other times, his production can be considered a possible construction of memory, being selective in the choice of different urban territories and of their characters. This article focuses on the artistic career and the musical production of Adoniran Barbosa and privileges the urbans experiences which he sung in the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s, highlighting his forms of expression. "Ele é a voz da cidade", dizia Antonio Cândido sobre Adoniran Barbosa. Através de formas particulares de expressão, o compositor paulista conseguia em suas músicas capturar as reminiscências afetivas da cidade de outros tempos, sua produção pode ser considerada uma construção de memória possível, sendo seletiva na escolha dos territórios urbanos e de seus personagens. Este artigo focaliza a trajetória artística e a produção musical de Adoniran Barbosa e privilegia as experiências urbanas por ele cantadas nos anos 40, 50 e 60, destacando suas formas de expressão.Downloads
