César Mba Abogo is an Equatoguinean writer whose works are relevant in the postmodern and postcolonial debates. On the one hand, he is a perfect example of the “aesthetic nomad” who lives and creates in a globalized world. On the other hand, he is compelled by circumstances to claim his African roots. In the collection of short-stories and poems El porteador de Marlow. Canción negra sin color this ambivalence is expressed by an intense intertextuality. However, under that mestizo dialogue it is perceivable the irresolute tension of a split black subject that occupies an uncomfortable cross-border space between Europe and Africa.
