Over the last decade rural conflicts in Mozambique suffered an acceleration, due to large land investments by foreign subjects, especially in the central and northern parts of the country. Through a qualitative approach, this research aims firstly to typify, and then to interpret, the dynamics of interconnectedness of the Mozambican social “alternative” movements in relation to the neoliberal model as well as their strategies of change. The picture highlights grassroots organisations and movements with anticapitalist features, building transnational networks of a non-institutional cooperation.
